ci siamo avventurati nella riserva del delta di okavango

3 giorni senza connessione internet e telefono ... quindi niente google map ... solo guidati da off line maps .. locus map e track for africa ... in altre parole possiamo vedere la nostra posizione su una mappa che abbiamo precedentemente scaricato e che speriamo sia aggiornata

si tratta di piste ... guadi ... ponti di legno ... stagni che nel delta possono cambiare stagionalmente ... per esempio durante le acque basse molte piste e ponti di legno so accessibili ma in acque alte la pista è un acquitrino o con delle pozze profonde quasi un metro ... e lo scopri solo quando ci sei entrato!

adesso le acque si stanno innalzando grazie alle piogge cadute in angola che stanno arrivando lentamente ... quindi le mappe off line hanno un significato relativoe devi improvvisare e andare per tentativi

qui sopra la macchina di un paio di millenial con 0 ...(zero)... esperienza che stava affondando lentamente al guado di un rigagnolo che noi abbiamo ovviamente passato .. li abbiamo tirati fuori con il nostro vericello ....operazione da manuale !

soprattutto che perchè era la prima volta che lo provavamo (dopo aver appunto letto il manuale in situ!)

guardate come il sottoscritto sta attaccando il gancio del vericello alla macchina dei millenial ...con i piedi a mollo protetto solo dalle crocs ... rischiando un morso del temibile serpente verde delle acque o la bilarzia ...

insomma gli abbiamo salvati dalle bestie feroci che pullunano la notte ... non esagero, nei campsite dopo le 18:30 non si può (proibito!!!) girare a piedi, se uno deve andare al bagno dopo il tramonto, deve prendere la macchina anche se la postazione è a soli 15 m (!) dalle lattrine

attorno a noi di notte ululati di cani selvaggi, iene e, naturalmente, ruggiti di felini affamati (in effetti quasi mi spiace aver salvato i millennial, chissà che bel tik tok avrebbero fatto mentre una iena gli sgagnava una caviglia 😂😂 .. scherzo)
