nell'attesa della macchina a benzina ho visitato robben island, il carcere duro (con annessa cava per lavori fiorzati) dove sono stati rinchiusi con sentenze di dcenni i prigionieri politici anti apartaid (anche nelson mandela) e dello SWAPO (south west african political organization) il movimento politico e guerrigliero della namibia, attualmente al potere dopo la feroce guerra d'indipendenza vinta alla fine degli anni 80 (dopo la famosissima battaglia di cuito cannaval ... di cui parlerò estesamente nei prossimi post) con il decisivo appoggio dell'esercito angolano e cubano ..........

SWAPO is the political and guerrilla movement of namibia, currently in power after the fierce war of independence won at the end of the 80s (after the famous battle of cuito cannaval ... which I will talk about extensively in the next posts) with the decisive support of Angolan and Cuban army ..........

le immagini sono eloquenti ... notare il tabellone della dieta che differenzia quella dei colored (i meticci) e gli asiatici da quella dei bantu (i neri) ... ovviemante gli ultimi nettamente sfavoriti (mentre i primi avevano diritto al pane ai bantu veniva concesso solo della pasta di mais ... una specie di polenta ..come principale fonte di carboidrati).
diciamo che è un luogo storico da vedere ma che la presentazione del luogo e l'organizzazione della visita lasciano molto a desiderare ... un peccato perchè c'è molto più da dire e soprattutto in modo diverso
riguardo l'apartaid, esiste ancora ma in termini economici, i bianchi dominano ancora la gestione della sfera produttiva e, almeno secondo la mia esperienza a cape town, le differenze sono ancora molto grandi
anche nei risporanti di medio livello il 99,9% degli avventori è bianco mentre il 100% dei camerieri ecc. è nero, colored o asiatico, ma va anche detto che dalla fine dell'apartaid (sono passati solo 32 anni ! e l'ANC - african national congress, il partito di mandela - ha vinto le elezioni nel 1994) di progressi verso una maggiore equità ne sono stati fatti tantissimi ... e questo grazie ai leader che hanno passato anni nel carcere di robben island nonchè alle migliaia di morti e persone a cui è stata fatta indicibile violenza ...
basti pensare che ai neri non era permesso studiare matematica nelle scuole che, diciamo, è fondamentale per professioni come ingenieria e IT ... le prossime generazioni andranno sicuramente meglio
dopo la presa di potere dell'ANC con mandela presidente il sa ha intrappreso un'UNICO processo di riconciliazione nazionale leaderato da DESMOND TUTU ... recentemente venuto a mancare ... detto processo è unico nella storia del pianeta e del genere umano (che io sappia) .. sarebbe altresì utile proporlo per altre società dilaniate dalla guerra civile come il salvador, l'iraq e l'ucraina ...
