il massiccio di granito rosa del BRANDBERG va visto indipendentemente dalle pitture rupestri - si possono contrattare guide ufficiali presso la struttura del parco per andare sulla cima più alta con un trekking di 2 o 3 giorni ... il giorno prima della nostra visita, la nostra guida assegnata dalla struttura del parco per andare a vedere la grotta della white lady (1 ora di cammino solo andata) aveva portato in cima due ragazze milanesi
la 'white lady' è una pittura rupestre famosa in quanto rapprtesenta una scena di danza shamanica fatta da un scamano (uomo) ma che inizialmente sembrava una donna .. lo sciamano entra in trance e si connette con gli idei e le dee per varie ragioni abbastanza pratiche (pioggia, animali da cacciare, acqua, ecc ecc)
tutte queste informazioni vengono date dalle guide a da fonti scritte ma nessuna di esse proviene dai SAN (le guide sono tutte damara, altra tribu che nel lontano passato ha occupato le terre dove i SAN vivevano) ...sarebbe interessante sapere come i SAN attualmente considerano le opere dei loro antenati, come le interpretano nel presente, quali pratiche rappresentate sono ancora parte della loro cultura ... ma niente dei SAN nemmeno l'ombra.... che peccato!
